NeoSec- The new face of LulzSec...

The Lulz Boat has set sail.... And NeoSec has taken it's place. While the original group was only in it for the Lulz, NeoSec has a stronger mission statement. According to their official facebook page NeoSec hacks for "the public and their rights, free will, truth, love, brotherhood etc..."

NeoSec believes in protecting the given rights of every person from any entity that should challenge it, including governments.. Their goals include collecting secret information on goverments and releasing the data to the public in order to bring down those corrupt leaders and politicians...

NeoSec has not grabbed the attention of the public yet, but we will be following them as start to grab headlines..

If you would like more info on NeoSec you can check them out on the NeoSec Forum.

Please note that Tier III is not affiliated with any hacking group, we just report the latest news..

What happens when The Lulz Boat teams up with Anonymous??? Hello #Antisec..

LulzSec may have ended their voyage, but they are certainly not finished hacking.. Members of Lulz, along with fellow hacking group Anonymous now go by the name #AntiSec (Anti Security.)  Today the collective released a cache of files from Viacom and Universal music onto popular torrent site The Pirate Bay. The files were released with the statement, "AntiSec is more than Lulz and more than even Anonymous, it is our true belief that this movement has the capability to change the world. And should that fail, we will at least rock the world… [W]e provide material that is primarily against corrupt Governments (in our world this is all Governments) and corrupt companies."

What do you guys think of the AntiSec movement... Seems to me LulzSec disbanded for a higher purpose... Looks like we have our next hacking collective to keep tabs on.. Welcome #AntiSec.

LulzSec has sailed off into the sunset, but Anonymous in back in the light...

LulzSec may have reached the end of their voyage, a voyage which will continue thanks to copycat hackers around the world; but for Anonymous the end is nowhere in sight.. Their most recent target... Orlando.. Anon has taken out orlandofloridaguide.com in a DDOS attack and posted their iconic mask over the face of Mickey Mouse.

Why would Anonymous hack Mickey Mouse?? Several members of the Orlando group Food not Bombs were recently arrested for not having the required permits to serve food to large groups of people in a park, a permit that can only be acquired twice per year. The group is an anti-poverty group that feeds large groups of homeless people in Lake Eola Park. Anonymous let the Orlando Chamber of Commerce know they were going to take down the site... And then they did it.. Simple. Anonymous also stated that this is one of several planned attacks on tourism sites.. Look out Florida..

As I have said in the past, most hacking groups have motives behind what they do, and in this one I'm siding with Anonymous... What do you guys think let me know.

The end of LulzSec...

*Update- according to LulzSec, they are not going to stop hacking, but have reached the end of their "voyage." When asked if this is the end for Lulz, i received the comment below from the group..

LulzSec Not stopped 'hacking' but our voyage is over, for now.

In my last post I was talking about the battle between Team poison and Lulz... Now it seems we are seeing the end of LulzSec after only a couple months of hacking. With the arrest of Ryan Cleary, whom Lulz states was not a part of the group; and Team poision figuring out the identity of another member who goes by "Sabu", it seems the Lulz boat is taking off into the horizon..

In the past couple months Lulz has been one of the most publicized hacking groups in history.. Tweeting about everything they were doing and coming into the spotlight quickly for hacking groups such as PBS, the CIA, the US Senate, and an FBI affiliate.. But it seems that publicity may have been the end of them. Shortly after getting on the radar of rival hacking group Team poision, a veteran hacking group which vowed to end the reign of LulzSec, we are now receiving a final statement from Lulz.. But is this really the end of their hacking of will the Lulz boat be back at war again? You can read the statement released by LulzSec below...

Friends around the globe,
We are Lulz Security, and this is our final release, as today marks something meaningful to us. 50 days ago, we set sail with our humble ship on an uneasy and brutal ocean: the Internet. The hate machine, the love machine, the machine powered by many machines. We are all part of it, helping it grow, and helping it grow on us.

For the past 50 days we've been disrupting and exposing corporations, governments, often the general population itself, and quite possibly everything in between, just because we could. All to selflessly entertain others - vanity, fame, recognition, all of these things are shadowed by our desire for that which we all love. The raw, uninterrupted, chaotic thrill of entertainment and anarchy. It's what we all crave, even the seemingly lifeless politicians and emotionless, middle-aged self-titled failures. You are not failures. You have not blown away. You can get what you want and you are worth having it, believe in yourself.

While we are responsible for everything that The Lulz Boat is, we are not tied to this identity permanently. Behind this jolly visage of rainbows and top hats, we are people. People with a preference for music, a preference for food; we have varying taste in clothes and television, we are just like you. Even Hitler and Osama Bin Laden had these unique variations and style, and isn't that interesting to know? The mediocre painter turned supervillain liked cats more than we did.

Again, behind the mask, behind the insanity and mayhem, we truly believe in the AntiSec movement. We believe in it so strongly that we brought it back, much to the dismay of those looking for more anarchic lulz. We hope, wish, even beg, that the movement manifests itself into a revolution that can continue on without us. The support we've gathered for it in such a short space of time is truly overwhelming, and not to mention humbling. Please don't stop. Together, united, we can stomp down our common oppressors and imbue ourselves with the power and freedom we deserve.

So with those last thoughts, it's time to say bon voyage. Our planned 50 day cruise has expired, and we must now sail into the distance, leaving behind - we hope - inspiration, fear, denial, happiness, approval, disapproval, mockery, embarrassment, thoughtfulness, jealousy, hate, even love. If anything, we hope we had a microscopic impact on someone, somewhere. Anywhere.

Thank you for sailing with us. The breeze is fresh and the sun is setting, so now we head for the horizon.

Let it flow...

Lulz Security - our crew of six wishes you a happy 2011, and a shout-out to all of our battlefleet members and supporters across the globe
